Courtoise yesterday morning, digesting, having just pilferred and emptied Beau's dish!!! I thought she could not jump that high yet.... I now understand wy Beau has been so hungry for the last 2 days and why I kept putting food back in his dish!

My old scratching post was slowly disintegrating and actually not so very nice. Not that my cats minded its sorry state. But I decided to spoil my cats and myself with a beautiful scratching post made by the partner of Anke, Michel Sehstedt. Being fervent sailors ourselves it had to be a lighthouse. And it now stands as a beacon prominently in our living room directing us home after the holiday to look after the cats.

Yeah, Kittens are born at cattery Zvizda's of Nanna.

Monday 15 juni Palaya Azadeh became mother of 3 lovely kittens. Two boys and one girl. They are growing well and look very lovely, but you can see that on the photos.

The father is Ladoga's Ceasar.

On the first photo they are just born, on the other photos they are 10 days old.

Ladoga's Maschutka has become mother for the first time today. She became the proud mother of 1 daughter and 4 sons. Mother and childeren are happy and healthy.

Ofcourse Nanna is very proud of them!!!

Can I start a new topic about Oksana's brothers and sisters? I am very curious how they develop, what they look like and how their characters are. I've seen some great ones on this forum already, but it would be nice to have them all together in one topic.

Oksi is a very sweet and gentle lady:cat: . Her coat is beautiful and silky, although she lost her longer hair when summer arrived. I hope they will come back in the winter.

She is quite serious, but also likes to play with her best friend, ...

Hello,

As some of you know, Quda gave birth on the april 25th to 4 kittens: 3 males and 1 female. Probably 1 male is a Russian Blue variant and the other kittens are Nebelung, from 2 of them I'm sure but one male kitten I'm still doubting.

They all grow well and at the moment they are investigating the bedroom. Here are some photo's.

Dear friends, maybe you have any experience with this.

Yesterday Bink became ill. He has a fever, diarrhoea and vomits. He looks very poor and weak. Over the last months he lost a lot of weight again, probably some 500 grams which is a lot on a cat of 3,8 kg. Most of my cats lose a bit of weight in summer and I thought recently that he looked very good and fit. It was quite a shock when I put him on the scales. But he was not ill until now.

Let me you my story... I'm Janna, proud owner of Nanno, an "almost-"Blue Russian. He misses a pedigree and has a white mark on his toe too many, but apart from that, he's 100% Russian, if you ask me. He's born on the first of April 2007 and lived with us since the 24th of june.

Wrong username for this forum, I do realize this but please bear with me on that .

By accident I came to be servant of a beautiful little blue cat. She is by no means a pure bred cat of any kind, just a "regular" cat (as far as you can call any cat "regular") but she fueled my interest in blue cats. I started doing some research and started reading on Russian Blue and stumbled upon heavenly creatures called Nebelung. I fell in love in an instant.

I have been looking around for very small kitten trees, without much success I must say.

There are very few and often "sad looking" if you get my meaning (no fun colour, no fun shape, etc.).

Obviously, price is important too as that tiny tree is unlikely to last very long...

Would any of you have any ideas of where I could look?

I got my first nebelungs in 2002, Kira (Abrakadabra's Bereska) and Kazu (Abrakadabra's Dasha). Kira being a real nebelung and Kazu a shorthaired nebelung. Kazu had 2 litters with in total 8 kittens, 2 of them are breeding queens Nisa (lives with Anke) and Quda. Quda stayed in our cattery and had one litter, the delivery didn't went well. How do you mark your kittens when you have a large litter, and all look the same?

Some use a colored necklace, others paint some nails with nail polish, others cut a little bit out of the fur and I use cattle marker.

But do you use and why?

(Cattle marker: kittens eares need to be big enough. So can not be used the first weeks)
