How does WCF show "work"?
| Awarding of Points and Certificates | ||||
| Challenge certificates are awarded according to the following system of points: | ||||
| Not suitable for breeding | good | 61 points | ||
| Limited suitability for breeding | very good | 76 points | ||
| Suitable for breeding | excellent | 88 points | ||
| Challenge Certificate Champion/Premier | CAC/CAP | 93points | ||
| Challenge Certificate International Ch./Premier | CACIB/CAPIB | 95 points | ||
| Challenge Certificate Grand Int. Ch./Premier | CAGCIB/CAGPIB | 97 points | ||
| Challenge Certificate European Ch./Premier | CACE/CAPE | 97 points | ||
| Challenge Certificate Grand European Ch./Premier | GCACE/GCAPE | 98 points | ||
| Challenge Certificate World Champion/World Premier | CACM/CAPM | 98 points | ||
| In order to award the points every breed standard possesses a scale of points (see breed descriptions). The points are distributed according to the typical features of every single breed. The more points belong to an item of the standard, the more serious is a corresponding fault. (e.g.: If for coat texture a cat can get maximally 20 points as in the Russian Blue, poor texture should be penalised more severely than in the Korat that can get maximally 10 points for coat texture). | ||||
This comes from the WCF site. I'm used to a system in which one can be chosen as the best cat for a certain certificat. And you can only go to the next in titel in "honor".
So first you have enrolle as Champion (CAC) for example (This is the "lowest" titel), and if your cat is the best in his categorie of his breed (e.g. adult male, adult female, adult male neutered, adult female neuterend ) You get a certificate and you have to collect 3 of those to have the titel. Impressive titels can only be earned by those who show often.
I was wondering, can you earn World Championat the WCF in one show, if you cat is near perfect?

Anke:santa:

Hello, Anke!
No, we are not so good to receive at once such title. Hà-hà-ha.... We were only at 5 exhibitions, have received only three ÑAC and two ÑÀCIÂ. Veronica approaches under the standard and to us put high points, but breed is not a success yet, on best us do not call.

Re: How does WCF show "work"?
So it's posible to do this at once???
Do you present your own cats to judge? Is it a ringshow?
I'm considering to go to a WCF show in Germany in Februari. But I really would like to know the rules of the "game".

Anke,
I have asked the question to a friend who helped create the first and only WCF club in France.
As I understood it, your cat can only compete for the title CACM if he already has the GCACE.
I'll wait for this friend to come back from holidays.
cheers

Got the answer.
In a WCF show, you present your own cat to the judge.
LOOF and Fife titles are recognised by WCF. But as I said, you can only go from one title to another. You cannot jump several titles in one show!

P.S. Looking at the photo it works like independent shows in the Netherlands. You have to take your own cat to the judge.

Hello, Anke!

It realy great to see a photo of the members of the forum. Now you are not only "friendly, humoristic and intelligent words form Russia with the face of Veronica the Nebelung "
My face was at some show photos. So you probably made the connection!!!

Ladoga's Ruslan Arhipovich looks like his lovely father, when I look at the photo.
How did the show go? Did you take more of your cats to the show?

Hello, Anke!
Ruslan has opened the European Champion. From cattery now we expose only Veronica and Ruslanà. At us growing the girl-rus var (Ledi Ruslana), to it now 6 months, Tatyana will soon expose it.
