Wrong username for this forum, I do realize this but please bear with me on that .
By accident I came to be servant of a beautiful little blue cat. She is by no means a pure bred cat of any kind, just a "regular" cat (as far as you can call any cat "regular") but she fueled my interest in blue cats. I started doing some research and started reading on Russian Blue and stumbled upon heavenly creatures called Nebelung. I fell in love in an instant.
Someday, hopefully in the (very?) near future, I will be looking for a kitten, the right kitten to join me and the two cats I am already living with.
I do find it hard however to find current information from and on breeders here in the Netherlands. Either the sites are not updated or offer very little to no information. So my hope is that this forum will bring me closer to the source. Maybe I can even meet a breeder here who wouldn't mind a curious and higly interested visitor .

Bonjour Laurence, and thank you for the warm welcome. Yes, I really fell prey aswell, the Nebelung is such a stunning creature you can't help but fall in love .
I will certainly post pictures of my cats as soon as I figure out how to do so. Is it allowed to post pictures of black and white cats also? .

Hi Anke, thank you and yes, I do believe I have visited your site (Pegusha is one of your kittens right?). My heart jumped when I saw she was still available, but I believe you have decided to keep her yourself correct? She is just stunning!
So yes, I am hoping I will learn alot here.

Tatjana

Pictures
I will try and post some pictures here of my duo:
On the left, Misty ("Mimi"), my little blue girl (not any breed). She is 3 years old, weighs 3 kg. Small as she is, she has a strong personality. She is easy going, not quickly stressed by anything. You can put her any place and she will walk around immediately, happily exploring her new surroundings.
On the right we have Dino ("Manneke"), my big boy of 6 years old, weighs 6 kg. He is by no means a hero, more of a scaredy cat, quit insecure and jumpy. Weary around strangers and will hide when the doorbell rings. He is getting better though. I have exposed him to alot of different situations and his confidence is growing. He is a lap addict.
Both are very talkative, never a quiet moment in my house. Where Dino always wants to be petted and cuddled, Misty is very clear about the moment she wants to be petted, usually when I am getting ready to go to work. Needless to say I am always late for work because I can't resist her plaintive little voice begging to be petted .
Both are indoor cats. They will sit in front of the door to my terrace, never trying to break through the screendoor. Sometimes I will take them out in my garden on a lead and harnass which works well with Dino, he enjoys rolling in the sand. Misty does not like it that much so she stays inside.
No no, Misty is not al all naught, she only got stuck in the curtains by accident...really!
She has a cute face too, this is not it however .
Two legs are temporarily missing .
Dino in staring mode (lots of birds in my back garden).
Misty's turn:
Off to dreamland:
Another favorite spot, the scratching post:
Sorry for the overload of pictures .

Re: Ragdolly
Haaaaaaaaaa no, no, no, it is not an overload of pictures!!!! You should see my post in the photo gallery section (I believe Admin will move your post to the correct section )!!! I have already flooded 4 pages with pictures of my 2 blues who are not Nebs. But after 1 year of waiting, my little furry Neb was finally born 2 weeks ago. Need I say that I shall flood this forum with pictures of him too when he is at home. . .
Your cats are absolutely lovely I love the dreamland picture

Re: Ragdolly
Welcome Tatjana, Misty and Dino to the forum I hope you have as much fun with it as I have until now.
I sort of fell in love with the Nebelung the same way as you did. A stray cat that we took in gave birth to some blue cats amongst others and so blue came in our house. Now we have 4 cats including one Nebelung boy called Bink. I am definitely not an expert but if I see the pictures of Misty there must be a little Russian Blue blood in her, looking at her body posture and face.

Re: Ragdolly
Hi, the three of you! Nice pictures and I tought the same as Marleen... and I'm not an expert. Only a 'new' Neb-owner of my first cat, called Enzo, he lives with us for three months now. We are so happy with him. There are pictures and some movies to find here! Have fun at the forum, and just look around, call and talk with some breeders and owners... maybe the future is very near... (hahahahaha, happened to us also)... Bye...
