Dear all,

I think one of the last pictures at my place.

The kittens can leave our house next week. I still have 2 male nebelungs available, so if you know someone? No kittens are available for breeding.

I was also got my first negative reaction delivered at my cattery. I guy who was interested in a nebelung, wrote me back with the message that, he heared that of have a lot of inbreeding and that I have a bad cattery management. I have now idea which of the breeders is spreading this word and why? I felt terrible, I really do my best and think I do a good job!

some pictures:

I will try to convince the new owners, to introduce them to this forum. Maya we already now, but the others are interested hopefully.

Regards Kirsten

Hi Kirsten,

What a great photos of lovely kittens!!! Could you please post the last photo bigger or sent it to me? I would really love to see all their beatiful faces.
(I'm also looking forward to see the photos of Enzo and is new friend)

It is really shocking that people dare to say those things about your cats and kittens. You do a great job with your cattery and introducing new genetic material to the breed by using Russian blue and russian blue variants. Your breeding plan is the opposit of inbreeding. (And I feel sorry for the one who spreads that rumour....because they do not know much about breeding and Nebelung in special).

Lots of Love, flower

Hi Kirsten,

It is not nice to hear but I would not loose to much sleep over gossip if I were you. There are allways pedigrees to vouch for what you are doing.

For inbreeding and line breeding I know that it is quite commonplace among other cat breeds to hold on to certain qualities. Hakim, father of my nest of kittens, was a product of line breeding for instance. If you do that in a responsible way, it is not such a bad thing. Having the same name popping up 5 or 6 times in one pedigree is not the responsible way of course, that is asking for all kinds of trouble. I am sure that is not your catteries' practice, you bring new blood into the Nebelung by inbreeding Russian Blues.

They have grown to be lovely kittens. Be sure I will be on Maya's doorstep when her new boy will arrive to give him (and Enzo) a cuddle!

I have just finished reading this message. I'm very upset. Work of breeder is very complicated and difficult. People have a little understanding of how difficult is it to develop a new breed.
It is very bad to say such things ...
Kirsten, you are doing a lot for the development of the breed. You should not confuse these rumors. To be a pioneer is always very hard, but you have friends and associates.
Your kittens are beautiful
I love you
