My second Nebelung Mimi
Max his death was really a trauma, I had never had such a grief for the loss of an animal in my life.
That is why I looked on the internet for another Nebelung and found his half-sister in the cattery where Max his father came from.
She was born on 16 February 2002, a month later than Max.
But oh how small she was and so anxious.
I have spent the first few days on the floor talking to her, when she had tucked under the cabinet.
After a while she accepted me and my husband, however, from every stranger she fled under the bedcover and remained there until the visitor was gone.
I got Mimi and I was told, that she had a few bumps in the belly, but it was nothing serious. Because the owner had caught her and had put her in the travel bag, I had not felt the cat yet.
When I let Mimi sterilized a few months later, I got a call from a startled veterinarian.
The cat had no stomach (wand) that is why she had those bumps.
Mimi could not push and every four/five months she had constipation and we had to go to the veterinarian.
The last six months, she got more and more constipation, at last even every five/six days and finally we decided that we had no other option left.
A very difficult decision, because she looked fine when the vet had helped her again.
We let her sleep on 9 June 2010.
Below is a copy of my letter to the veterinarian after she had sent me an i.m.-card a week after Mimi died.
This morning I received your i.m.-card.
I think it's very thoughtful and appreciate it very much.
The sharpness is less, but I still miss her all the time.
The lack is also present in the rituals that you have with a cat.
Because I work at home, she was always with me, where I was, she was. And luckily like Max, she was a talking cat.
We had a silent fight who will be in the chair near the desk.
Just pretending to be surrendered, under protest and always with a sound, she left the chair and went to sit on the plateau of the computer table right in front of me.
She sat depending on her mood with the back towards me, looking outside to the birds, or with head and leg on my hand and then she would like me not to move too much, of course.
She warned me when it was bed-time, then she got her sweets and was brushed and went to sleep on her own towel.
In the morning when I woke up she was sitting next to my face to hypnotize me to open my eyes.
She talked to me to get brushed and get her sweets.
Put my attention to the food and water she wanted.
This is less than half of a life with Mimi.
At every dark spot in the corner of my eye, I think I see her.
And I can tell myself a hundred times that it is better for her, but it does not help at all. I miss her.

I see you managed to add a photo of Michelle.
It is nice to see her. She has changed lot. I knew her when she lived with Anita, so that will have been the first two years of her live.
Thank you for sharing a photo.

again She was really lovely. I am really sorry for your losses.
However, Max and Mimi and you had the ultimate joy to share some years together. It will always stay in your heart.
