Actually they can become lost, mine which we named "Yoda" was probably 8 monsths old, his backbone showing, when he came calling for food. His oh so long fluffy tail straight up like a flag and so typical of an American Nebelung. The following and calling to his First person we noted immediately. His even temper and passive behavior even when threaten by other cats was beyond belief.
It wa his yodalling though which was so unusual. He would flutter for 5 or 10 seconds before he entered the house even with the basement window, which we open for our cats to enter and leave as they see fit during spring and summer. He would yodel a different tune when he was looking for me. His purring was very loud and melodeous. From tip to tip he was 39 inches.

He had one none characteristic, his very long two upper front fangs were extremely large pretig him from fully closing his mouth completely.

Unfortunately we lost him, when a neighbor put antifreeze in an open container in the back of his yard. And thus I lost my best friend last year.

But i really would like to find how he became so lost so early with so few of his breed in Alberta, Canada .
