Hi everyone :)
I was absolutely delighted to discover a Nebelung forum, thanks to Bernard who put the address on his website! Merci Bernard I had been looking around for infos on this breed but found out very little alas - until now. Be ready as I certainly will ply you with questions
I was visiting a cat show at the end of May and I saw Bernard's..... and I fell immediately in love with the Nebelungs. I saw them again at another show I was visiting and fell even harder! Well one can say I crashed hard! And now, well, I am waiting for Bernard's first litter to arrive sometimes in 2008... I still have not really made up my mind as to the gender of the kitten yet.
As for me, I live in Paris (near surburb) and have 2 Chartreux cats. One 18 m.o. neuteured male, Beauregard, and his little niece of 5 months, Courtoise who, hopefully, will give me babies in the future Beau really hating shows stays at home but Courtoise likes it (well she only did one so far ).
I do hope that all the work Bernard is doing will succeed in having the breed recognised by the LOOF!
Here's my first question: could you describe me in details the character of the Nebelung? Any differences between males and females?
Many thanks
laurence

Re: Hi everyone :)
Hi Laurence,
Welcome on the forum. It’s great that you are so enthusiastic about the breed. I was wondering, did you call me yesterday? Talking to me in French….. And I did not understand?
I can understand that you are waiting patiently for a kitten of Bernard. A Nebelung is worth waiting for!!!
I will split your topic. The character question is great, but fits best at all about the breed. (as administration I try to keep topics at the easiest to find place) https://nebelung.forumotion.com/About-the-breed-questions-etc-f18/Nebelung-character-t37.htm
Regards,

Hello Laurence,
Great this initative is doing it's work already. Great to have you here and I also hope that a second breeder will start in France. In Europe we are really doing well, compared to US where the nebelung breed was started!
Regards,
Kirsten

Hi Anke,
No it was not me who called yesterday. I only discovered this forum today furthermore I would have spoken English from the start
Thanks for splitting my post, I would have had I seen the appropriate section. I'll be more carefull next time
Hiya Kirsten,
I have no intention to start breeding Nebelungs for the time being. I think that breeding Chartreux (at least 1 litter) will be enough for a start However I do hope that more breeders will start in France too.
