I can not say when it's is a nebelung, as for all the litters I had (I only had combinations used once), it is so different. The mix with Robii x Kira, all the kittens looked longhaired. This was probably due to, the thick fur of Robii. Time will always tell, how many nebelungs there were born.

Like Kirsten says. I always find it hard to see the lenght till they reach a certain point. And it differs how the coat develops, even in one litter. But this is not strange, as many cats are out-cross on out-cross and nebelung cats like many russian blue cats have within the breed a different coat (length, structure, thickness etc.)
But I hope you found the key to distinguish, Urszula!!! It would make me happy!!

How are your little ones doing? I hope they are growing well!!!
And is the length of the hair prediction still the same? Or did you have a surprise?
And do you agree with Urszula about "predicting" the length of the hair by the length of hair at the beginning of the tail?

Dear all,
Today I updated my website, it was a while a go. All the kittens are doing well. Definitely one nebelung, one may nebelung although she has less hair than the nebelung, but longer hair on the tail compared to the other 2 kittens which are shorthaired.
Still not many replies from me as I'm sick all the time and don't have energy (has nothing to do with my pregnancy). I can't get over the flue or so ...

How cute, the one directly behind mom looking up is darling, altho it looks to be
a varient, and the other one looking up next to it looks to be a full Neb.
Take care Kirsten, hard enough to be preg let alone have the flu or something!
Drink some hot tea and have some chicken soup and stay in bed for a day or two!

Yes the first and last photo is the same kitten, she is the beauty ... but the nebelung is like an exploded cat ... he got lots of hair.

Oh, I think the little Neb boy looks cute, he looks a bit cheeky and full of himself!! I love your description
of him, sometimes they do have a lot of fur and it just sticks out all over them until they
get their adult coats! Very cute photos!
