Utrecht
Dimanche prochain, Cat Show à Baltard environ 900 chats. Le dimanche suivant Utrecht, 1000 Chats......
C'est un vrai travail....
L'année dernière à Baltard il y avait 950 chats pour 19 juges. Une agréable journée, il y avait Catherine ( cette année aussi). Mais, que de monde...
6 Nebelung... quelle merveille....
Je suis impatient

You people over there get a lot of entries to your cat shows, we are lucky here
to get 200 entries! A few CFA shows a year might make it to 400, and most ACFA shows
only get around 100 since ACFA is smaller than TICA or CFA.
How lucky you are!!

Re: 27-1-2008, Utrecht the Netherlands
Well Vicki, Baltard is I think the biggest show in France. I would say that a majority of shows in France gather 200-300 cats on an average. Utrecht looks like to be a major show too.
Et bien Vicki, Baltad est je crois la plus grande exposition en France. Je dirais qu'en général la majorité des expositions en France tournent autour de 200-300 chats. Utrecht a l'air d'être une exposition majeure aussi.

This is the largest show in the Netherlands. More regular is 300- 450 cats.
The Easter show of Mundicat (FIfe) is also a special one.

Anke

Well, we do tend to have a lot of shows, so that is probably why they are
smaller in entries. Where I live there is at least one TICA show and one
CFA show every month, and then a couple times a year is also an ACFA show.
So, with all those shows available, it is too costly to enter them all, so that is
probably why we have lower entries as people plan out their money and time to
what they can afford of both.

Here it's also posible to visit a show every week in winter. But we have a summer break. In may are the last shows till september.
But I noticed that in Belgium and Germany more summer show can be found.
I have to admit that I dislike showing in summer. It often to warm to spent your day in an hall. They are hot and smell strongly of tomcats (not my parfume )
Regards,
Anke

Yes, the boys don't smell like Chanel #5 do they? I like to show in the summer because that
is always a nice time to travel, you don't have to worry about snow, ice and bad weather.
Right now, our mountains (the Cascade mountains) outside Seattle have about
16 feet (4.88 meters) of snow in them--the roads through the mountains are clear
(well, compact snow and some ice) for the most part, but they always have avalanches
and blizzards etc that shut the roads down for sometimes a day or more...it is just nicer
to go in the summer and plan it like a mini-vacation for me anyway.
