Yes you will see her growing up, but probably she will move, after she had a litter to teresa in the UK. In this manner Frotka has a new line, and I will mix in new blood and keep one kitten for the breed. For teresa it is very difficult with quarantine so this is an in between solution.

Sound like a smart solution! Will she move pregnant to the UK? This will be most "economical" (not ment to save money, but more lines in one action).

No she will deliver her first litter at my place. From that litter I will keep one kitten, I don't know what teresa wants than but time will tell.

I do not understand this quarantine. The 6 month quarantine does not exist anymore and has been replaced by all sort of medical exams that need to be done within a certain time period before the cat goes to UK. It is just a bit fastidious but so much easier than before.

Maybe I'm behind, but the cat got to have a rabies vaccination and 6 months after the vaccination the titer has to be up a certein level in blood, so this period is the "quarantine" period plus the cat must have a healthcertificate.

Ahhhh I did not know this. But for a kitten, it does not work and I would think that if the kitten has a health certificate plus all the vaccinations..... Pfff this is quite complicated.

Dear all,

I think it's a good thing to do, in this manner Frotka has her line, I'm mixing in new blood and teresa has a new nebelung line in the UK and can mix in new blood also. Hopefully Frotka and Urszula can work together and mixing in new blood.

What I meant with what teresa wants, is if she also want a kitten from this to be litter she can get one, but indeed time will tell.

This is what most countries or in our case, our state of Hawai'i, have changed to in order to make it
better for the animals being imported. Rather than showing up in the "quarentine" state/country and sitting
in a small cage for 3 to 6 months (and paying boarding costs on a daily basis), now the "quarentine" is done by the breeder by getting the required shots and tests and then shipping the animal after an alloted time. So basically the quarentine has been moved from England to you guys, which, is really better for the animal. The bad thing is that people living in the quarentine places probably will not be able to get a kitten due to the time frame needed for the shots/tests. The best they can hope for is getting a young adult! The one place that has not gone to this type quarentine rules yet is Australia. They still do it the old, very confining, very expensive way!
